Shelley Elder CEO and Founder: Shelley Elder founded Axeze an ICT start-up specialising in radio frequency identification, which now sells its product range throughout Australia and overseas.
When deciding on a career Shelley tossed up accounting and real estate, electing accounting so that she could have time with her four children and husband David. Lucky Shelley was immediately employed by a leading South Australian Real Estate Developer, getting the best of both worlds. Her love of all things high tech, and a passion for innovation drove her towards Axeze.
Shelley is passionate about keeping fit, is an avid water skier and ballroom dancer. Shelley loves gardening and is passionate about developing environmentally sustainable real estate. She has a love for all things high tech which drove her to develop her own product.
Winning a Telstra Business Womens Award in 1997 helped drive her vision to developing a product that would assist the aged and disabled and become a household name in due course.
Shelley undertook her MBA in order to understand more about global business. The government recognised Shelley’s skill, drive and ambition and asked if she would coach small business one and a half days a month. Shelley, who has always supported small business owners, willing accepted this challenge and has since achieved international accreditation as an APEC Business Coach.
Brijesh Mangla V P Sales and Marketing: Brijesh brings with him 9 years of domestic and international sales, account management, new business initiatives and team management experience.
Brijesh completed his electrical engineering degree and then pursued his MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai (Top 10 in India).
His experience includes selling software and telecom solutions to the fortune 500 companies. He was with Bharti Airtel for six years, before moving to Australia, and has won many awards in sales and customer relationship.
He was based in middle-east at a client site as Business Development Manager where he was responsible for sales and marketing. In this role he was instrumental in bringing a start-up company to being the largest VSAT company, revenue $10Mn, in the region within a two year time frame.
He has done projects in Six Sigma quality management and selling, new business initiatives and profitability are his key drivers.
His best friend is his wife, Monika, and his passion is his son, Aaditya.
David Elder Chief Technology Officer and R&D hardware design:
David has been with Axeze since its inception and his unique ideas in design resulted in him winning a Commendation for Engineering Excellence from the Australian Institute of Engineers.
Dave is a qualified electronic engineer with extensive knowledge of radio systems and radio frequency identification systems. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
Prior to starting Axeze with his wife Shelley, Dave worked for Gemplus Tag the worlds leading smart card manufacturer. He joined Gemplus when they acquired the business of Integrated Silicon Design known as ISD. Dave spent more than 20 years in the RAAF.
